CREATED WITH LOVE NARRATIVE:
Have you seen those tags on homemade items that say “Made with Love”? That’s what comes to mind with this Created with Love retreat theme.
What an intensely beautiful realization it is when you comprehend that God created each of us with love. We are His handiwork and are created in Christ Jesus to do good works.
God actually prepared those good works in advance for us to do. If that doesn’t make you think twice about your importance, it’s worth spending time thinking about it a little deeper.
God created us with love. Even the hairs on our heads are all numbered.
When you are not feeling worthy, this retreat can help you find a way to change that mindset with the belief that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God and you deserve to feel His love.
CREATED WITH LOVE SCRIPTURES:
Psalm 139:13-14 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
Matthew 10:30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

CREATED WITH LOVE ICEBREAKERS:
Marooned:
Break into groups. Imagine that you and your group have been marooned on an island. Decide together upon 5 items you would have brought with you if you’d known you were going to be stranded.
You will have 5 minutes to decide what your items will be. Write them down on the paper provided. When 5 minutes is up, you will all share your answers.
What Have You Created with Love?:
Ask the ladies to place their chairs in one big circle and have a seat. Ask them to go around in the circle and share something they made with love from any time in their lives, from childhood to adulthood.
Ask them to expand on their answers on what they made and how thinking about that item makes them feel. This can be compared to how God might feel thinking about His children that He created with love.
CREATED WITH LOVE RETREAT GAMES/ACTIVITIES:
Human Knot:
Human Knot always works well for team building. It’s always good to get up and stretch. And a little physical connection can provide chatting and laughter. Trying to get out of this situation definitely takes some special maneuvering.
Share and Prayer:
Provide pieces of paper and a box. Ask the ladies to write at least one thought about either feeling loved or not feeling loved. They will place the pieces of paper in the box.
Then take turns drawing out a piece of paper and reading it to the group. Select a person who feels comfortable praying out loud and say a special prayer for each thought right after it is read.

CREATED WITH LOVE CLOSING PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank you for creating us with your amazing love. We each need to hear the story often about how you care so much for us that even the hairs on our heads are numbered.
And, knowing that long ago you prepared good works for us to do gives us such motivation and courage to actually do things that honor you. Being here with other ladies who strive to follow your will has been uplifting and reenergizing.
Thank you for this opportunity and please watch over us all as we head to our respective homes carrying back more love to share with those in our communities. Amen.
