Day 2 Faith Blogging Course: Decide What to Blog About

Welcome to Day 2!

Determining what to blog about can seem difficult at first, but I promise it’s not! When I say faith blog, you might immediately think bible study, theology, or sermon series. Those things might be exactly what you feel called to write about, but a faith blogger is not limited to them.

I used to think I couldn’t be a faith blogger because I didn’t feel knowledgeable enough about the bible and scripture. Maybe you feel the same, but you don’t have to. I have to tell you, that just as I do, you have a story to tell. When you share the topic you’re passionate about and connect it with your faith, you will help others in their spiritual journeys and in their daily lives.

I always recommend creating a blog around a topic that you are passionate about, that you are an expert in, or that you like. For me, writing about my passions and sharing my faith caused me to become more passionate about those things I love, and my spiritual life has grown tremendously.

This can make blogging seem so much more like a dream than a chore. It makes it fun! I seldom feel like I’m working when I work on my blog.

You can blog about several topics or you can blog about one specific thing such as cooking, budgeting, or even fashion. I’ve even seen blogs solely about butterflies.

Yes, your blog can be about anything and/or everything. It’s entirely up to you.

Don’t worry about monetizing your blog either. There are so many ways to make money blogging, your niche won’t hold you back.

I’ve brainstormed some possible topic ideas. These are only a beginning. You may think of many more. What you choose is up to you.
