CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S RETREAT THEME: HEALER OF BROKEN HEARTS
The death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, the loss of something dear…we all suffer heartache. Heartbreak.
These are the moments that will define us if we let them. Thankfully, God promises He will mend our broken hearts if only we turn to Him.
As we fight through the days, hours, minutes of our pain, it’s easy to get lost in it. We block out the peace and comfort Christ gives often without meaning to. The pain encompasses our every breath.
When we turn to God, however, the smallest glimmer of hope pushes its way in. Once we recognize hope, our path to healing begins.

So glad to find your blog, Julie. Thank you for sharing my velvet heart Valentine garland on this wonderful Christ-centered post! So good to know another sister, via our link group!
Hi Julie! I was excited to find your velvet heart garland and new it would be perfect here! So glad to ‘meet’ you!
I am 75. I’m broken because for some reason my adult children and I can’t stay on good terms. I’ve prayed, fasted, studied the Word, sought resources, but have not found anything on this.
There have to be other women like me!
My children’s dad was a minister, pastored churches, assisted a couple while beating and verbally abusing me. He verbally abused my children. I would go behind him and tell them what he said was not true. For a few years, one of my daughters and I were close, then things blew up. The other daughter and my son got involved then. This time, my son and I are communicating. Both daughters are totally silent. Where can I find help?
Oh Ruth Anne, I’m so sorry for all you’re going through. Please reach out to your local church and talk with your pastor or other leaders. If you don’t have a local church right now, please contact other churches in your area and ask about counseling groups or services. I will be praying for you! ~Love, Julie
Thanks for sharing!
