20 Inspiring Scriptures about New Beginnings

God Provides New Beginnings in Every Moment

We often experience new beginnings and need support and encouragement along the way. Whether it’s a birth, a death, a new job, or simply a new day, a new beginning can affect us immensely.

It’s scary when things change.

I know when my best friend died, I didn’t know at first how to begin again in a world without him.

When my children were born, I feared my abilities as a mother. What if I couldn’t keep my kids safe? What if I didn’t teach them all they need to know?

And when I moved from my mid-western home, in the only state I’d ever lived, to spend four years teaching on a Navajo reservation, I was so afraid I wouldn’t like it, that I’d feel alone so far from my family and friends, and that I’d be stuck there forever.

Sometimes our fears seem silly in hindsight as we look back and realize what opportunities lie in front of us when we open our hearts and minds to Christ and what He has in store for us.

The challenge comes from realizing our opportunities at the beginning of the transition. That’s why I like having scriptures about new beginnings handy for any situation.
